LinguSocial AI learns from every conversation, allowing you to customize your experience and increase transcription accuracy. Create a custom dictionary to ensure that the common (and not-so-common) words spoken every day are captured and transcribed accurately across your entire team. Keeping your custom dictionary accurate allows our AI to capture the entire conversation as it happened, and maximize your key moment usage. Let's take a look some tips and tricks to make sure you get the most out of your custom dictionary.

Why It Matters

Transcription accuracy can be affected by a number of factors including:

  • Different kinds of noise
  • Crosstalk
  • Accents
  • Important words
  • How transcripts are normalized

A custom dictionary looks to solve for capturing those important words - the ones special to you, packed with meaning, and arguably the most critical to be transcribed accurately.

What to Add

There's a limit to the number of keywords or phrases that you can have in your custom dictionary, which is around 500 keywords or phrases.  Add words like:

  • Unique workplace abbreviations: SaaS, RFP, RFO, PRD, CSAT, CX
  • Competitors: Nike, Adidas, PayPal
  • Product names: LinguSocial, LinguSocial Meetings
  • Customer names: Motorola, Uber, DOMO
  • Technical jargon: WebRTC, Opus, Telephony, Codecs

Pronunciation hints are another great way to train our system to correctly identify keywords. For example, if you were referring to "LinguSocial", a pronunciation hint would be "speaks with lingu Social"
